We are celebrating! The Sorolla Museum App (only available in spanish) is among the three finalists in the Cultural Tourism category of “The App Tourism Awards 2014”. These awards are given out every year by SEGITTUR and FITUR. The jury’s decision will be announced on Thursday 23 at FITUR 2014 (Madrid, Spain). We will be there to present this mobile app at the meeting to be held in the Fitur Know- How & Export auditorium, Hall 10, from 16:00 to 18:00.
The awards ceremony will take place from 18.00 and will be headed by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Borrego. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our peers in the Cultural Tourism industry and the other finalists in the various national and international categories. In total, 18 apps have been selected from 150 registered apps.
We are particularly pleased to learn that Universal Design and Accessibility are competing in the same category of excellence. This app, intended for all audiences, includes voice-overs, subtitling, sign language videos and audio description, and is compatible with the iPhone Voice Over. In 2014 we will continue working and supporting the normalization objective. Thank you!
