Inside the National Gallery

An European Project reveal new CrossCultural connections

And with one of the masterpieces exposed in the National Gallery in London, we welcome the new year! It will be the Year of the Dog in the Chinese calendar. It will also be the year in which we unveil the results of the 4 CrossCult pilot apps. This project, in which we participate together with 10 European partners, investigates and innovates in the way of disseminating and understanding our history. The interaction of the visitor will lead to new connections, new cultural crossings between people, works, places and events. Discover more on the CrossCult website!

Have you already guessed which masterpiece it is? It is the Portrait of Giovanni Arnolfini and his wife, a painting by the Flemish painter Jan van Eyck dated 1434.
