The superposition of Islamic and Christian stages has shaped a unique space of extraordinary historical value that requires technological solutions that are both impactful and robust.

In a project of this caliber, in addition to enhancing the audiovisual quality of the content, it is equally necessary to master the context of use: data coverage, acquisition flow from ticket purchase, IT security, and diverse ergonomics. These ‘invisible’ elements are what set GVAM apart through the reliability of its technology, serving thousands of daily users across several of the world’s best-known monuments.

With the inauguration of the new Mosque Visitor Reception Center, a four-year contract has commenced, which includes smart rental devices and a web app for the visitor’s mobile phone. The entire system integrates seamlessly into GVAM’s Ventour content management ecosystem and its behavioral data platform, GStats.

The production of content was supervised by a team of experts and translated into 10 languages. It features 360º videos, 3D reconstructions, VR experiences, and an impressive augmented reality panoramic view from the Mosque’s minaret. The application includes interactive maps, a predictive search engine, QR codes, and a numeric keypad. It has been distributed into several thematic tours adapted to available time, children, and the different visitable areas of the complex: the new museum at the Visitor Reception Center, the outdoor area of the Mosque, the Visigothic Cathedral, the Christian Cathedral, and the Arabic Mosque.

Accessibility is one of the main pillars of the project.
