This immersive experience allows users to explore the Catalan capital in a completely different and enriching way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"472\" data-end=\"1112\">Using an electronic device and an intuitive app, visitors can discover 360-degree views of Barcelona\u2019s main points of interest from one of the best panoramic viewpoints in the city. The app provides information on 45 iconic locations, organized into three categories: buildings and monuments, religious heritage, and natural spaces. Among the highlights visitors can explore are the Sagrada Fam\u00edlia, the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar, Park G\u00fcell, Camp Nou, and the Torre Gl\u00f2ries, among others. On clear days, the app even allows users to see the Llobregat Coast, the Baix Maresme Coast, and\u2014if lucky\u2014the island of Mallorca on the horizon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1114\" data-end=\"1561\">One of the most outstanding features of this experience is the use of augmented reality technology developed by <strong data-start=\"1226\" data-end=\"1234\">GVAM<\/strong>. This technology overlays digital information onto the real-world landscape seen from the Cathedral&#8217;s rooftops, enabling an interactive and highly personalized experience. This new offering adds to other technological initiatives that Barcelona Cathedral has introduced in recent years, such as the interactive audio guide with visual and sound content (launched in 2018) and the 360\u00ba virtual reality experience using VR headsets (introduced in 2023). With the restoration and recent full opening of the Cathedral\u2019s rooftops, this new experience complements and enriches visits, allowing for a deeper understanding of the city and its historical and cultural surroundings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"719\" data-end=\"1251\">Moreover, <em data-start=\"729\" data-end=\"755\">\u201cLa Talaia de Barcelona\u201d<\/em> comes at no additional cost\u2014it is included in the rooftop access ticket, making the experience even more accessible. Through this innovative initiative, the Cathedral continues to reaffirm its commitment to technological innovation and cultural outreach, using technology to bring heritage closer to both locals and visitors from around the world.
